RLM began operations as a machine-tool service provider in 1985, operating as RLM Hydraulics. Over the years, we have diversified our interests into various markets including Automation, Computing, Energy Efficiency, Water Treatment, and other related technologies.
In 1986 we began operating as RLM-PC, offering PC desktop computers for engineering applications. We also developed our own line of programming units to be used in conjunction with Allen-Bradley, Gould, TI and other PLC equipment.
In 1994 we expanded operations to include consulting services for computer, networking, infrastructure, custom applications, database and a bit later, also web development.
In 2004 we expanded to form RLM-EC, our Electronics and Controls Division, which began providing energy efficiency and water quality solutions, acting as a national distributor for various quality products and turn-key solutions regarding energy efficiency and water quality related issues. RLM-EC sold its Energy and Water divisions and associated holdings to Environmental Controls & Methods, Inc. in 2006.
In 2009, we acquired HomeBrainZ. HomeBrainZ provides cloud-based automation, security, and entertainment solutions for the homeowner and light commercial/industrial clients, with a development platform based on Microsoft Azure, ASP.Net, Silverlight, XAML, AJAX, and other code technologies, for developing software for Windows Home Server / Windows Server 2003/2008 Operating Systems (OS) and Windows Clients. (primarily for Windows 7)
